The POWR of Multiples

Mark your calendars! The long-anticipated POWR of Multiples Exhibit is about to debut! The opening takes place at Lander Art Center, 224 Main in Lander, WY on Friday, September 1 from 6-8 pm and will run through October 21, 2017.

The exhibit explores the idea of multiple objects of a similar nature, including an interactive Totem exhibit, a collaborative Gear Project, etc. There will also be "8 Takes on One Mold", an assignment wherein each artist was given an identical mold to create an object utilizing his or her own style, emphasizing the Multiple Personality aspects of our work. You will also see each artist's independent interpretation of the power of multiples. Here are a few "process" photos that will hopefully pique your interest!

And yes, there were some obstacles as evidenced below, including explosions in the kiln, battles with rattlesnakes and pack rats over kiln territory, mountain bluebirds whose nests were inconveniently built on top of the salt kiln, power outages that interfered with firings, and broken toes due to dropped fire bricks just to name a few!
